Yin Yoga 

A quiet, reflective practice. Poses held for longer, supported by props, to allow for a deeper release. Your muscles begin to relax into the postures, allowing your connective tissues to open and stretch. A yin practice can be very restful and rejuvenating – a great balance to your active, yang lifestyle.

Yoga Flow All

For those who would like to deepen their yoga practice. You’ll learn to connect breath and movement in this fun and energizing class. Special attention is given to entering and exiting poses safely and finding the right modification for your body. Previous yoga experience is recommended.

Gentle Yoga

A slow-paced class focusing on warming up joints, loosening those tight spots, and calming the mind. Perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing practice, or for those recovering from an injury (note: if this is you, then check with your doctor first!). The class will focus mostly on calming breathing exercises and seated or reclined postures.

Yoga Basics 

Examines the most common yoga poses you will find in many drop-in classes. Students will learn how to enter and exit the poses safely, and how to modify them for their own bodies. This is a great class for beginners, returning students in need of a review, or anyone who wants to study the basics in more depth. You will leave with the skills and confidence to try out a variety of drop-in classes.

Make Your Own Yoga!

Can’t make these times? No problem! How about:

  • a one-on-one class, just for you?
  • a private class for you and your friends?

Price: $45 an hour.

Location Options:

  • We can practice in the comfort of your own home.
  • I can accommodate up to 3 students at my place.
  • For larger groups, we can rent a room at a community centre. My hourly rate doesn’t include rental fees, which range from around $12-$20 an hour.

I believe that everyone who is interested in yoga should be able to enjoy a class. I have tried to make my class pricing reasonable for most budgets. However, if you would like to take one of my classes but can’t make it work financially, please let me know. I’d be happy to discuss payment plans or other alternatives.

Qualifications

Certified Yoga Instructor ~ I completed my 200 hour training in June 2011 through Therapeutic Approach to Yoga (TAYS), a Yoga Alliance certified school in Halifax, NS.

I have been practicing yoga for over nine years.

    Hi there! Ever thought about running a yoga class during the lunch hour? I work near Creative Crossing, and would LOVE to find lunch hour yoga somewhere in the North End. Sadly, nothing. I think if you put something on it would be very popular.
