After experimenting with hand-sewing on my artwork, I’m trying something similar with my sewing machine.
In this video, I work on a new mixed-media piece, using machine stitching to add texture, marks, and structure to the surface. It’s a different process from hand-sewing, and I’m curious to see how the machine changes the way I work.
This is part of my ongoing experiments with fabric, thread, paint, and mixed media.
